How to Reach Antalya
Updated: Nov 16, 2019
From Istanbul-
The total distance between Istanbul and Antalya is 694 km and you can travel by plane, bus, or private taxi (pre-booked taxi).
1) By Flight-
The flights take about 1 hour 20 mins, and the ticket price starts from EUR0 35.
You can fly on Turkish Airlines or Pegasus Air.
It goes without saying that tickets are usually the cheapest when booked in advance. Should you book last minute, you might have to pay a bit more!
Tip-
If you choose Antalya to be the first leg of your trip then it's really important to arrive in Istanbul and depart to Antalya from the same airport, as commuting from one airport to another can get really expensive.
2) By Bus-
The trip by bus will take about 11 to 12 hours, and the ticket will cost you EURO 25.
The bus departs from Istanbul Bayrampasa Bus Station which is,
15 km from Ataturk Airport
54 km from Sahiba Gokcen Airport
40 km from New Istanbul Airport
Tip-
It's always better to take an overnight bus and always ask the concerned person to avoid booking the seats in the last row as they usually don't recline!
3) By Taxi-
Taxi will get you to Antalya in about 10 hours, and cost you around EURO 550-600.
Sound impractical, right? We would therefore not recommend traveling via taxi!
From Cappadocia-
The total distance between Cappadocia and Antalya is about 542 km and this distance can be covered via plane, bus, taxi.
1) By Flight-
Pegasus Air and Sun Express have non-stop fights between Kayseri (ASR) and Antalya. These flights take a little over an hour.
2) By Bus-
You can catch an overnight bus from Goreme Otogar to Antalya bus station. It's going to be a 9-10 hour long journey, and the ticket will cost you EURO 13.
3) By Taxi-
Taxi will take around 8 to 9 hours and cost you EURO 400-500.
Again, something we would personally never do or recommend!
